In the last letter you have asked about Orthodoxy in Latvia. In Riga we have only one Lett orthodoxy church where Divine service is in Lettish. There are many Russian ones. Many Letts go to Russian churches (I do so).
In Riga there is one nunnery (small) and priests-Letts serve there. You can confess in Lettish but Divine service is in Church Slavonic. There is another problem with language, many young men (about 18 years old and those who live in village) do not know Russian at all, at school they do not teach any more if only you learn it by yourself, or if you do not have any Russian relatives and friends speaking Russian. I know lots of Lett men who would like to be orthodoxy but they live in village and cannot speak Russian and priest does not speak Lattish.
There is problem that Letts hate Russians and therefore if someone turns into Orthodoxy it will be something terrible for him because orthodoxy associates with Russia but not belief in Christ. Everyone seem that Lett can be only both lutheran or catholic.
